It's a question I'm frequently asked! How do you make money as a blogger? I'll get to that right now. As a bit of background, I've been writing articles and blogging online since 2004 and have had a variety of sites covering topics such as inspiration, sales, recruitment, new age, and lifestyle. I'm currently the editor of a Sydney Lifestyle Blog and my inspirational blog, and this one is part of my social media marketing business. It keeps me occupied. I also publish several other blogs, and of course, I'm a website designer and co-founder of Agile Studio. Yes, I know a thing or two about blogging.
To respond to the queries, I get money from blogging by:
Sponsored content is where I am compensated to write a product or service review. Any sponsored content always came with a disclosure from me. I also turn down a lot of sponsored content because it doesn't match my site or because I don't believe in or enjoy the product.
You can also place affiliate banners on your site advertising on your website. I do, in fact, use affiliate banner advertisements on my websites.
Affiliate marketing entails writing posts or creating landing pages on your blog that contain affiliate links. Affiliate links direct users to third-party items or services, and if they purchase through that link, you will receive a small commission. You must state that your content contains affiliate links. As a result, some affiliate links are included in this content. Affiliate marketing is a fantastic method to make money from your blog, but it requires time and effort to discover the proper items. When selecting affiliates, make sure you enjoy and use the items or services yourself. In every way, blogging is about being genuine. The most crucial point in affiliate marketing is you need a large following, and you must come across as authentic.

So, how do you go about becoming a paid blogger?
The first step is to identify your speciality. Consider the activities you enjoy doing or discussing. Then begin brainstorming by making a list, such as blogging about:
Dogs and other pets
Health and well-being
Cars of motorbikes
Blog about bicycling
Winter Sports or any different kind of sports
Environmentally friendly news
The list goes on and on.
How to get started as a blogger
The next step is to restrict it to a more specific niche, such as a Car Blog that only writes about muscle cars and an Eco-Friendly Blog that only writes about home sustainability. The more specialised you are, the easier it will be to get discovered and attract readers. You may learn as you go; that I constantly research while writing, especially when I "ghost blog" for others.
It's time to start building your website once you've decided on a niche. Just make sure that you come across your audience with enthusiasm and honesty before determining what you want to blog about.
It's time to find your keywords once you're ready. Finding keywords is crucial, so consider what people could look for regarding your topic. For example, if someone searched the term "how to become a blogger," there would be a lot of competition to get ranked, so you need to discover similar words. For this piece, I used the keyword tool below to research and develop how to become a blogger and get paid. I've used that phrase several times in this essay - but just a handful. You don't want to 'keyword stuff' your articles because Google will penalise you.

Now that you've determined your keywords and blog concept, you'll need to determine where your readers hang out online and what they're looking for. After all, there's no purpose in blogging if no one reads it.
What issue do you address, and how does your blog assist your readers? This blog is for people who want to make a residual income online, possibly quit their job and work from home, or business owners who wish to learn more about social media marketing. Continue brainstorming in the following direction:
What type of answer is your reader looking for? If you're writing a dog blog, people might be looking for reviews on dog collars or food or want to learn how to train their dog.
What additional blogs do you think your reader would be interested in? Investigate and poke around other blogs in your field.
Is your reader a woman, a man, or both?
A combination of the two? What is the location of your reader? My target audience for my Sydney Lifestyle blog is Sydney residents and visitors. I have a global readership for this blog and the Jasmine in the Forest.
These are all questions you should consider to attract readers to your site.
What will the design of your blog be like?
This is the most enjoyable part. You may start scribbling down ideas for your blog's colour schemes and fonts. Consider colours, themes, and typefaces. Make a mental note of the colour codes and fonts to stay on track. You can find free photographs at www.pixabay.com, or if you're handy with a camera, you can take your own. You may establish a database of people who wish to hear from you by including a subscriber form at the top of your blog. You can send weekly updates of your posts and news using this database.
Your website will also require a privacy and conditions page. The Disclosure Policy is available at http://disclosurepolicy.org.
How often should you blog?
This is dependent on the topic of your blog and how important it is for you to get a high ranking. I strive to post every day, and sometimes, I publish multiple posts on Sydney Chic. I've even hired guest bloggers to write for me regularly and represent me at events. I know these guest bloggers are excellent writers, and I am confident in their ability to represent my company.
Deb Carr Media is a side project for me, so I blog when I have the time. It's not my primary goal to get that website as optimised as Sydney Chic, which comes along naturally with my other blog.
Tags such as "follow" and "do not follow"
If you are paid to write posts or receive gifts, you must read this article regarding Follow and No Follow tags on your site. Essentially, if your site has a high Google ranking and you link to another blog that provides 'link juice,' your blog tells Google that this other blog is worthy of being ranked. However, if you are being paid to post, Google will not allow you to do so. Thus you must include the NO FOLLOW code in your blog article.
If you've been compensated or have affiliate links, always include a disclaimer in your content.

You can't have a blog without quality material. As a result, you'll need to be well organised and think outside the box. Content doesn't have to be written; it may be a video, podcast, poetry, news item on which you've remarked, images, infographics, etc.

What does it take to be a lifestyle blogger?
Start with what YOU know and what you're good at. It's good to jot down ideas for blog posts as soon as they come to mind in a diary or on your phone. I blog every day, sometimes twice a day, for Sydney Chic; it's a lot of work, but I get press releases regularly, and there's usually an event or something in my mailbox, so finding content is now simple. I share recipes, life tales, and my spirit with the Jasmine in the Forest!
I also put out a request for content on www.sourcebottle.com, so if you're a blogger, sign up for this fantastic service.
Videos, images, quotes, and even guest bloggers to write content for you are all good ideas.
If your blog allows comments, make careful to approve them first; I prefer it this way versus having spammers write garbage. I don't accept comments on any of my sites, which is probably counterproductive, but I can't take internet hatred and prefer not to encourage it.
Make a list of topics for your blog.
Consider your keywords regularly.
Make your headlines unique and include your keywords.
Build an email list by including an opt-in form on your blog and emailing it regularly.
Share your articles on social media.
Make it simple for people to share your material by including share buttons on your blog.
Go to other blogs and start leaving good comments on their posts.
Make an effort to attract other bloggers to connect to your blog.
Join blogging communities on Linkedin and other social media platforms.
Create amazing content.
Have some fantastic photographs.
Be patient; it takes time to establish a reputation.
If you're a company, you can create blogs about your customers, employees, and new goods (only on occasion)
Giving practical advice and offering intriguing information is what content is all about. Blog postings don't always have to be text; you can produce stunning graphics with an inspirational message, record a video, or provide tips and "how-to" guidance.
Blog content can be used to promote a new position within your firm, disseminate award news, and highlight your employees! People pique people's curiosity.
Begin by creating a spreadsheet and clipping the URLs of places where you can locate the material. You can't have a blog without quality material. As a result, you'll need to be well organised and think outside the box.
Search engine optimisation (SEO)
To optimise your website, you must ensure that each page has been carefully crafted. So now is the time to consider your keywords, which visitors will use to find your website.

They are keywords that I attempt to include as often as possible in my blog entries and titles. It is possible, though, that it will not always be relevant. When establishing a page, ensure the Page Title, Description, and Keywords are all combined to help you be found.

What to do if you're smacked with a Google penalty.
It's worth noting that the Page Title is utilised to persuade people to visit your site when it appears in a search. If you write something interesting, people will be more likely to click. Also, keep in mind that each page will have a unique name, description, and possibly additional keywords.
Please investigate some similar blogs to discover what tools they employ.
If you copy and paste already published content, you risk being penalised by Google, which you don't want to happen. Always create unique stuff. Do not allow people to copy and paste your content.
